Still Building: God’s Purposes in the Middle of the Story
A 5-Part Series in Ezra–Nehemiah leading to Vision Builders Sunday
We find ourselves in a season that mirrors the story of Ezra–Nehemiah: a community disrupted, yet called to rebuild. After the upheaval of nearly losing our building and the reality of being redirected to a new place, God is awakening us to deeper discipleship, bolder proclamation, and greater unity in Malmö.
Ezra–Nehemiah is a case study in both God’s faithfulness and the fragility of human response. These books remind us that history is in God’s hands, that His people are called to covenant faithfulness in the midst of cultural pressure, and that true renewal is always His work, not ours.
Over 5 weeks we’ll explore:
God’s Hand in History — Seeing our present moment through God’s sovereign purposes.
Putting God’s House First — Learning to prioritise His presence and mission above our comfort.
A People Set Apart — Renewing holiness and faithfulness in the middle of cultural cross-pressure.
Rebuilding Together — Embracing unity and perseverance in the face of opposition.
Vision Builders Sunday — Responding with faith, prayer, and commitment to what God is building among us.
This series will weave together confession, renewal, and vision as we seek God’s heart for our church. In the middle of the story, He is still building — and He is calling us to build with Him.
